- Only our 2 oldest divisions have playoffs
- All teams are guaranteed 9 games
- The last 2 weeks will also be playoff games
- If you lose you still have a consolation game
Referees
1st through 3rd grade
- We can't call every travel or double dribble. No basketball would happen :)
- So we focus on if an ADVANTAGE is gained.
- We slowly tighten up as each game and season go along.Â
- We will call it looser at the beginning of game 1 then we will towards the end of game 8.
- I encourage the refs to be strict about fouling. It's important that players learn about being appropriately physical.Â
- We make use of verbal reminders, re-dos, and quick teaching moments when necessary.
4th and 5thÂ
- PIAA refs call the game straight up.Â
- But, many players are still beginners, so within reason.Â
- I encourage the refs to be strict about fouling. It's important that players learn about being appropriately physical.Â
